Downtown Singapore is a band formed in 1999 by Jerry Scott, Matthew Thorsen, Terry Mycka and Matthew Van Gasbeck.

They began in Waldorf, Maryland playing local shows and gaining regional success with a handful of independent releases. 

​

In 2002 they recorded their first independently created their full length album titled "The Redbook Edition". The record was produced by local engineer Kenny McClure at Monster Island Studio in Washington, DC.

The bands single, Month of May, made it onto local radio which quickly had labels buzzing. 

​

Within the year, the band was signed to DCide records and aside from a few burned CD's "The Redbook Edition" never had an official release.

​

Through the record label, the band released an e.p. "Understanding a Guarantee" and l.p. "Don't Let Your Guard Down" produced by noted hitmaker, Matt Squire.

​

Dtown toured the United States for years gaining recognition in various markets.

​

In 2006 the band dissolved.

Twenty years later on September 4, 2026 "The Redbook Edition" will finally see the light of day...
